As Secretary to the Governing Body, the Municipal Clerk maintains all records with regard to the township’s local ordinances, resolutions and public proceedings. The Municipal Clerk is responsible for preparing meeting agendas, attending all Council meetings, administering oaths, keeping an official record of all meetings, minutes, ordinances and resolutions.

The Municipal Clerk is also Chief Administrative Officer of all elections held in the municipality and Chief Registrar of Voters in the Township. The Office of Vital Statistics, located in the Clerk's Office, maintains records of all births, marriages and deaths that occur in Ewing Township. The Registrar is available to assist you with inquiries regarding vital records.
The Clerk is also the custodian of the Township's records. As such, the Clerk is a major source of information for our residents. Public record requests are processed through this office. Pursuant to §14-37 of the Ewing Township Code, Rent Control, landlords are permitted to increase rents annually for residential multiple-family dwellings in apartment buildings containing 20 or more units based on a CPI (Consumer Price Index) formula.
