The Tax Department is responsible for the billing, collection, reporting, and enforcement of taxes within the Township of Ewing. In addition, the Tax Department also bills, collects, and reports sewer user fees for the properties connected to the public sewer.
As a statuary officer of the State of New Jersey, the Tax Collector is obligated to follow all the State Statutes regarding property tax collection including billing, due dates, interest on delinquent tax payments and tax sale procedures.
Use Edmunds GovTech to lookup and pay your tax and sewer bills. Pay your delinquent and/or current charges (taxes and/or sewer) for the SAME YEAR only. You cannot use this service to pay off any PRIOR YEAR or lien.

Convenience fees are retained by the service provider and are not paid to, or shared with, Ewing Township.

There is a Drop Off Mail Box for tax/sewer payments located at the back door of the Municipal Building. Use the second parking lot to access this mailbox.
New in 2025 — A Single Combined Application
The State of New Jersey has made it easier for seniors and those receiving Social Security Disability in New Jersey to apply for Property Tax Relief with a new, simplified process. The goal is to make the filing experience more straightforward and efficient. They have a single combined application for the Property Tax Reimbursement), ANCHOR, and Stay NJ programs for residents 65 and over, or those collecting Social Security Disability Benefits. They will determine your eligibility for you and send a letter with the specific benefits you qualify for.

Filing Deadline:The deadline to file is October 31, 2025.
If you are having trouble paying your residential electric, sewer and water service bills this winter, the NJ Department of Community Affairs has a program to protect you from having these utilities turned off from November 15 through March 15.
You qualify for protection during this period if you are being helped by one of the programs listed below:

You are unable to pay your utility bills because of circumstances beyond your control such as unemployment, illness, medically related expenses, recent death of an immediate family member, and any other circumstances, which might cause financial hardship.
Please be advised that this debt does not go away, all of the money that you owe must be repaid after March 15, 2025 or your services may be disconnected.
