It began originally as an event where you would turn on your front porch light and sit outside to prevent crime. Today it has evolved into block parties, cookouts, parades, visits from police, festivals, neighborhood walks, safety fairs, contests, rallies, and meetings nationwide. The 2025 event will be hosted at the Ewing Municipal Building at 2 Jake Garzio Drive on Tuesday, August 5th and includes food, music, fire trucks, representatives from local community groups and more.
