Cooling Center Update for June 20th and 21st

The Heat Advisory and an Excessive Heat Watch for much of the region continues through this weekend and we urge caution amid the high heat.  

Mayor Steinmann has directed that Ewing's Cooling Center at the Hollowbrook Community Center and Ewing Fire Station 20 (Pennington Road) be opened to get relief from the heat for the following hours:

Hollowbrook Community Center (320 Hollowbrook Drive)

Hours: Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Patrons should report to the Computer Lab on the second floor of the center.

Ewing Fire Station 30 (1666 Pennington Road)

Hours: Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Patrons should park in the rear parking lot.

The Hollowbrook Center will be open today only; the firehouse will be open Friday only.

• Stay hydrated
• Check on older adults or those at risk for heat-related illness
• Limit your time outdoors
