Information for Fall Leaf and Brush Pickup

The fall leaf and brush collection has begun, and all leaves and other yard debris must be placed in biodegradable paper bags or containers at curbside.

fallleafcollectionweb

No loose leaves are allowed in the street at curbside, and no plastic bags are allowed. You can put out as many bags or containers at one time as you need.  These bags will be collected the day after your garbage day, and while the DPW will strive to keep up with the scheduled pickup, please be patient if you notice your bags haven’t been picked up immediately.  Leaf bags are available to residents at DPW M-F 7:00am-3:30pm and at Jack Stephan Way on Saturdays 7:30am-2:30pm

Residents also have the ability to drop off bagged leaves and brush at the brush drop off site located on Jack Stephan Way. These leaf and brush collection guidelines went into effect in 2021 to ensure Ewing’s compliance with changes in the State Department of Environmental Protection’s Stormwater rules for protecting our water quality. (see Ewing Ordinance 319 Article V: LEAVES, BRUSH AND YARD WASTE).

To learn more about the benefits of saving your leaves to keep our streets safer, our storm drains cleaner and less vulnerable to flooding, and our yards healthier and more sustainable go to our “Leave the Leaves” pages on this website.  Learn how you can be a Leaf Hero!

Bulk Waste Reminder

Up to three (3) items of bulk waste may be placed at the curbside collection on your regularly scheduled garbage day.

Electronics

Electronics may be dropped off at the Scotch Road Convenience Center during their open hours.
