Here’s our October summary for the upcoming events and registration opportunities for residents of all age groups for the coming month and early December
The Ewing Tree Lighting will be held on Friday, December 5th at Betor Park behind the Ewing Municipal Building from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Santa will be there to turn the lights on and will be available for pictures! There will be crafts, caroling, ballon makers, refreshments and more!! Saturday, December 6th is the rain/snow date.
A new cooking class for children in grades K – 5! Sticky Fingers Cooking will be running a class at the Hollowbrook Community Center in the Nutrition Café. The class will be held on Fridays from 5:30pm – 6:30pm starting November 7th. Register at ewingnj.org/recregistration.
ERBL winter basketball league is open to boys and girls in grades K – 8. The league has a number of divisions, beginning with Instructional for Boys Grades K – 1. Boy’s leagues are grades 2-3, 4–5, 6–8. The Girls’ divisions include Instructional for Girls K – 1, Leagues for grades 3 – 5 and 6 – 8. Everyone makes a team. The Ewing Recreation Wrestling program will start with practices. Practices will be held at the Fisher New Gym on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Ewing High Wrestling Room on Thursday and Friday evenings for children in grades K-8. No experience is necessary. Adult Co-Ed Pick-up Volleyball will be held on Wednesday nights at Antheil School from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. This program is informal and is for all levels of players. Players need to register on eewingnj.org/recregistration.
Adult Co-Ed Pick up Indoor Soccer will be held on Monday nights from 6:30pm – 9pm, at Lore School Gym and will start November 12th. This program is informal and is for all levels of players. Players need to register at ewingnj.org/recregistration.
Ewing Recreation Chess Club meets on Wednesday evenings at St. Luke’s Church on Prospect St. Play is from 6:00pm – 10:00pm. The chess club is also starting a Saturday afternoon program for beginners at the Hollowbrook Community Center from 12pm – 2pm. Interested participants are welcome to attend or email Bong at
The Ewing Recreation Department is using new registration software, Civic Rec. Civic Rec has replaced Communitypass. So, for any program registration you will need to use Civic Rec. To register, go to ewingnj.org/RecRegistration.

Seniors 60 and older or anyone married to a person 60 and older is welcome to participate in the nutrition program. The program is located at the Hollowbrook Community Center. Each person is asked to donate $1, and all donations are confidential. A delicious balance meal is served.
