Here’s our August summary for upcoming events and registration opportunities for the coming month.
Registration for ERBL Basketball League and Ewing Rec Wrestling will open on CivicPlus (ewingnj.org/recregistration) on Monday, September 22 for the 2025-2026 season!
ERBL winter basketball league is open to boys and girls in grades K – 8. All new players must provide proof of grade, school, and residency. The league will have the following divisions: Instructional for boys’ grades K – 1. Boy’s leagues are grades 2-3, 4–5, 6–8; Girls’ divisions include Instructional for K – 1, leagues for grades 3 – 5 and 6 – 8. Everyone makes a team. Registration deadline is October 27, register online at ewingnj.org/recregistration. Games are played on Saturdays at Fisher and Antheil. The Ewing Recreation Wrestling program will start with practices beginning October 16th. Registration deadline is October 16th. Practices are held at Fisher new gym on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Ewing High Wrestling Room on Thursday and Friday evenings for children in grades K-8. No experience is necessary. Ewing Recreation and Ewing Green Team are running the 11th annual Fall Spin Bike Ride on Saturday, October 18th, starting at Campus Town and benefitting Womanspace/Younity. Pre-registration can be done online at ewingnj.org/recregistration. Riders can register the day of the ride starting at 7:45am in the parking area. The ride takes off promptly at 8:15 am. On Saturday, October 25th, Ewing Recreation will host Trunk or Treat starting at 3:00pm. Activities include pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, food, music and more starting at 2pm. The event will be held at The College of NJ(TCNJ), lot #4, rain, or shine. Both Treaters and Trunks need to register on ewingnj.org/recregistration.
Adult Co-Ed Pick-up Volleyball will start on October 1 and will be held on Wednesday nights at Antheil School from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. This program is informal and is for all levels of players. Players need to register on ewingnj.org/recregistration.
Adult Co-Ed pick up indoor soccer will be held on Tuesday nights from 6:30pm – 9pm, at Lore School Gym and will start November 12th. This program is informal and is for all levels of players. Players need to register on ewingnj.org/recregistration.
Ewing Recreation Chess Club meets on Wednesday evenings at St. Luke’s Church on Prospect St. Play is from 6:00pm – 10:00pm. The chess club is also starting a Saturday afternoon program for beginners at Hollowbrook Community Center from 12pm – 2pm. Interested participants are welcome to attend or email Bong at

Seniors 60 and older or anyone married to a person 60 and older is welcome to participate in the nutrition program. The program is located at the Hollowbrook Community Center. Each person is asked to donate $1, and all donations are confidential. A delicious balance meal is served.
