Township Of Ewing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Meeting

The Township of Ewing is seeking public comment on the Township’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2023 Annual Action Plan.

The Township will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 2 pm to review the draft of the Township’s 2023 HUD Action Plan.  The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at the municipal building, 2 Jake Garzio Drive, Ewing, NJ 08628.  Please park and enter on the Upper Level.

The Township is an entitlement grantee of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) which allocates annual grants to develop viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment and opportunities to expand economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.  The township prepares a plan each year stating how it proposes to use HUD’s funding. Activities funded through CDBG will focus on the needs of the low-and-moderate income community.  The activities will focus on:

  • Rehabilitation of the Hollowbrook Community Center located at 320 Hollowbrook Drive, Ewing Township, and rehabilitation of the Ewing Senior and Community Center located at 999 Lower Ferry Road, Ewing Township, NJ
  • Promotion of Fair Housing practices in the Township.
  • Administration of the CDBG grant.
