Shredding Events in the Pipeline: October 8th and 15th

It’s October and the weather will soon begin to change. 

We are all looking forward to the beautiful change of seasons.  Fall is the best time of the year to think about fall cleaning, including cleaning out your storage areas or file cabinets in your home and shredding all paper you have saved up!  Two upcoming Document Shredding Events will help you put this task behind you. 

Mercer County Improvement Authority (MCIA)

The Mercer County Improvement Authority will be sponsoring a County Document Shredding event on Saturday, October 8^th from 9 am – 12 noon. 

It will be held at 641 South Broad Street, Trenton, Lot 4, across the Mercer County Administration Building.  

A maximum of eight boxes and/or bags of paper per vehicle will be accepted.  This event is for paper only, no household chemicals will be accepted.

This Shred Day is open to Mercer County residents only; no commercial businesses will be allowed.  Proof of residency (driver’s license) will also be required.

Ewing Township

Additionally, the final Ewing Township Shred Day of 2022 will be Saturday, October 15 from 9 am – 1 pm.

The event will be held in the front parking area of the Municipal Complex at 2 Jake Garzio Drive. 

This free event is for Township residents only and provides a safe and secure way to clean out old checks, bills and any confidential documents that need proper disposal. Materials will not be accepted from businesses and Ewing residents will be required to provide Proof of Residency.

Because this is an extremely popular program, please be prepared to spend a few minutes waiting in line. For your safety and the safety of others, citizens will be required to stay in their cars while workers remove your shredding items from your car for you. This event will take place rain or shine.
