Save the Date for Spooktacular Fun at Ewing’s Annual Trunk or Treat! - (Updated Registration form)

Pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, and the Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt winner announcements

On Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 3 – 4:30 pm, Mayor Bert Steinmann and the Ewing Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Ewing Arts Commission and the Ewing Green Team, is hosting its Trunk or Treat spooktacular event with dozens of trunks from local organizations and residents at Parking Lot 4 at The College of New Jersey.

Kids dressed in their Halloween costumes (Ewing residents 8^th grade and under) can trick or treat from trunk to trunk as hosts distribute candy from the back of their vehicles.  Come early (at 2 pm) and enjoy pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, and refreshments.  Following the trunk or treating, the winners of the Ewing Green Team and Arts Commission’s annual Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt will be announced, and prizes distributed.   This is a rain or shine event. 

Registration on CommunityPass required to ensure that there is sufficient candy for all treaters. 

“Autumn is a great time of year where we capture the essence of the season in Ewing.  From Community Fest to the Fall Spin bike ride, to our Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, and then topping it off with Trunk or Treat event, this is a great time of year to enjoy new experiences and events for families and children in our community,” said Mayor Bert Steinmann.    “The Township, along with residents and local organizations, all come together to produce and enjoy great family-friendly events.”

Residents and organizations are encouraged to join the fun by registering their vehicles.  Decorate your trunk and show your Halloween spirit.  Will you choose friendly (maybe Peanuts), or scary (ghosts and goblins, or haunted houses), or monster themed (maybe Cookie Monster, or Frankenstein or Dracula)?  It’s up to you to be as creative as the spirit takes you.  Pre-registration of trunks is required.
