Payment of Outstanding Tickets

Payments can be made during our hours of operation or by mail to Ewing Township Municipal Court, 2 Jake Garzio Dr., Ewing, NJ 08628.  If a receipt is needed, a stamped, self-addressed envelope must be provided and a receipt will be returned.  We accept Visa, MasterCard or Discover, cash (please do not mail cash), check or money order.  Make checks or money orders payable to Ewing Township Municipal Court, and please reference your ticket or complaint number on the face of the check or money order.  A traffic summons that does not require a court appearance can also be paid through the Internet at www.njmcdirect.com.  To pay via the internet at NJMCDirect.com, you must have the court’s ID (1102), your summons number (example: Ewg 123456) and your license plate number.  A traffic summons must be paid or scheduled for court (if pleading not guilty) by the court date listed on the front of the ticket. Payments received after the scheduled date may be assessed additional penalties.

Contest a Ticket

If you wish to plead not guilty, you must contact Ewing Municipal Court at least 7 days prior to the court date listed on the front of the ticket at (609) 883-2900 and speak to court personnel.  Your matter will be scheduled according to the Police Officer’s schedule who issued the summons and the Court’s case load.  If you fail to notify the court, it may be required for you to make additional court appearances.  For all criminal complaints, tickets marked court appearance required or tickets not listed on the Statewide or Local Violations Bureau Schedule, you must appear in court on the date and time listed on the complaint or ticket.  Payment for any fines assessed is due upon disposition of the matter.

The Municipal Court is not subject to the Open Public Records Act and the standard OPRA Request Form is inapplicable.  Click on the link below to access the form for municipal court records. There is a $5.00 fee for a certified copy (NJSA 22A:2-19) and an additional $5.00 fee for placing a court seal on the certified copy.
