Ewing Features Watercolor, Acrylic & Mixed Medium Artist in April

The Ewing Art Commission and Art Has No Boundaries will feature the watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media art of Suzanne Allen for the April arts display at Ewing Town Hall.  

The month-long display will include a ‘Meet the Artist’ evening on April 6 from 6-8pm at the municipal building.

“Her work is so colorful and diverse– from more traditional watercolor to truly unique and innovative work – her art is truly unique.” said Ewing Art Commission Council Liaison Jennifer Keyes-Maloney.  

About Suzanne Allen

Ms. Suzanne Allen, a resident of Ewing, in her spare time, engages in creative activities, such as painting and volunteer work with EASEL. Ms. Allen’s mediums include watercolor, acrylic and uses mixed mediums to express a range of thoughts and emotions. She calls her process HeArt Therapy and has sold several pieces to friends and private clients and enjoys seeing others take pleasure in her work.

Professionally, Ms. Allen had successful careers as a jewelry designer and graphic artist. Suzanne indicates she was ‘fortunate to have Mel Leipzig as her Art teacher in the formative years of her education.’   Suzanne has a B.A. degree in Communications from Rider University and holds an Interior Design Certification from the New York Institute of Interior Design. Suzanne hopes to experience new people and places and design artwork that will bring pleasure to many.

About Ewing’s Featured Artist Program

The  Ewing Art Commission and the Art Has No Boundaries organization partnered to showcase Ewing Township artists at Ewing Town Hall in 2016. Establishing a monthly display of local art work, the art installation features two to three dimensional art on the second floor of the Municipal building.   Participating artists are affiliated with the Ewing Art Commission, a municipal body that seeks to promote the arts in our community, and the Art Has No Boundaries organization, a group that provides art programming at the Ewing Senior Community Center.
