Patriotic Committee

The Ewing Patriotic Committee is a nonpolitical group of volunteers who are called upon to organize and facilitate civic celebratory events designed to bring a sense of unity, community appreciation and pride to the residents of the Township of Ewing, New Jersey.   The committee was established March 18, 1965 by Mayor Alfred J. Schuster.  Members are appointed for a term of 1 year.

The Committee organizes or assists other groups with the following events:

  • Memorial Day Services at Major General Betor Veterans Park
  • Flag Retirement Ceremony
  • Independence Day Fireworks Celebration
    July Fire Works event at TCNJ on Green Lane. In 2018 they will take place on June 30th  with a rain date of July 1st.
  • Patriots Day
  • 9/11 Memorial Ceremony
  • Trunk or Treat
    This celebration is usually held the Saturday before Halloween.
  • Veterans Day
    In 2018 the ceremony this year will be held on Saturday November 12th, at 11:00 am, at Major George Betor Veterans Memorial Park behind Town Hall.
  • Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
    This event takes place at the Ewing Senior and Community Center.
  • Pearl Harbor Day
    This even takes place at the Ewing High School auditorium.  This is a joint program with EHS History Students

Ewing Township Patriotic Committee assists the Trenton Elks, Ewing Kiwanis, Veterans of Foreign Wars #7298, and American Legion Post #314.

The Ewing Patriotic Committee meets on the 2nd Tuesdays of each month unless otherwise noted.  In June, the Committee meets every Tuesday morning.
