Ewing is one of 12 municipalities in Mercer County, the  Capital County of New Jersey.  Mercer County was formed in 1838 and named to honor General Hugh Mercer, a Revolutionary General who fell at the Battle of Princeton. 


NJ has 565 municipalities.   By population, Ewing ranks 66th out of that total.  The Township is in legislative district #15.
